Love That Sees, Hears, and Covers

Writer: Gwendolyn J. JonesGwendolyn J. Jones

My Man! My Man! My Man!

I’m sharing my heart concerning the weight of a difficult decision I’ve had to make. He listens patiently, giving me the space to vent without interruption.

Then, with one simple response, he makes my heart melt:

"I’m not worried about the decision you made. I’m worried about the story you’re telling yourself about the decision you’ve made."

My response? Man, I love you!

——-

Moral of the Story:

When he spoke those words, he spoke to the heart of the matter—shifting my focus in an instant and exposing the belief driving my emotions.

1. Find a spouse with X-RAY vision! One who doesn’t just guard your blind spots but can see what you can’t see.

2. Find a spouse with MULTIDIMENSIONAL vision—one who truly sees you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. A partner who can call out the lies that bind you and expose the traps set before you.

3. Find a spouse with ULTRASONIC hearing! In nature, bats, dolphins, and dogs have this type of hearing—they can detect sounds at frequencies beyond human range, using them for communication and navigation. Find a partner who can hear your heart’s specific frequency like no one else can—one who speaks to and navigates the depths of your soul tangibly. There is power, I’d even dare to say healing, in feeling heard. Never underestimate its value. If you find it, cherish it always.

Physical attraction is just a bonus. Emotional intelligence and spiritual covering are vital. When you have all three in your spouse, you haven’t just found love—you’ve been granted heaven on earth and the priceless gift of rest.

Baye, I’ll always be grateful for the way you make me feel seen, loved, known, and covered. I’ll do my best never to take you for granted. Thank you for being my safe place.

With Love,

Gwen
