Celebrate Big: Embracing Success and Inviting Others to Share in Your Celebration

Woke up to good news this morning!

I'm excited to share with you for a few reasons:

1. For many of us, our life experiences have taught us not to celebrate ourselves. Personal celebration might be a learned behavior for you, and that's ok. Consider moments like these as opportunities to not only practice self-love but to also learn how to receive love.

2. Many of us are so self-critical that we minimize celebratory moments. Some of us don't even recognize when we've won. No one ever congratulated you, so when you reach a mountain top, you simply jump back to the ground and begin climbing the next mountain. Never pausing to acknowledge the success in the climb or the lessons learned on the way up. May this be your reminder to pause, acknowledge, and reflect, you deserve that.

3. Some of us attach shame to our successes so we hide them. You might have been caught in a comparison trap, so you feel like your elevation is too expensive as you've suffered judgment, envy, and isolation. This is my story and my reason for overriding this default setting and sharing this achievement with the world, even though it goes against everything within me. Allow this post to be your inspiration! That one portion of your story cannot define the rest of your life! The one or two that wounded you do not compare to the many who will love and support you.

And even though it's uncomfortable, you'll never know, if you don't show up! So here I am! I'm excited about this achievement, I worked for it and earned it. I'm 42 years old, still pursuing my dream, still embracing my call and purpose, still learning along the way, and grateful for the opportunity to take every lesson learned and gift it to another.
